On Saturday, November 30, 2024, we hosted the second Street Photography Walk in Zurich – an event organized once again by Katja and me. This time, we had the pleasure of welcoming nine fellow photographers, making for a total of eleven creative minds eager to explore Zurich through the lens.

The day began at Café OSCAR in Zurich’s main train station, where we kicked things off with coffee and introductions. One participant even made the trip all the way from Morges VD – a true testament to the love of street photography! To add a spark of creativity, each participant selected a photography challenge from a deck of 50 cards. These challenges served as inspiration throughout the walk, encouraging everyone to capture unique and creative images.

Our route took us through some of Zurich’s most iconic neighborhoods. Starting from the Bahnhofstrasse, we strolled through the charming streets of Niederdorf, Oberdorf, and the Altstadt before reaching Bellevue for a well-deserved lunch break. After recharging, we continued along the Limmat and concluded the walk at Rennweg.

Despite the frosty temperatures, everyone was in high spirits, cameras in hand, capturing the vibrant street scenes and hidden gems Zurich has to offer. It was inspiring to see the dedication and creativity on display, with each participant bringing their unique perspective to the streets.

Beyond the photography itself, the event fostered meaningful connections. New friendships were formed, and everyone eagerly shared their work in a dedicated Picdrop folder after the event. Seeing the range of interpretations and styles was one of the highlights of the day.

The feedback we received was overwhelmingly positive, and we’re already looking forward to planning the third edition of the Street Photography Walk. It’s a joy to see such enthusiasm and creativity, and we can’t wait to see what the next event will bring.
