My Experience at photoSCHWEIZ 25: A Milestone in my Photography Journey

From February 7 to 11, 2025, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in photoSCHWEIZ 25, Switzerland’s largest photography exhibition. This was my first time showcasing my work at this prestigious event, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience.

For this exhibition, I presented a series of eight street portraits captured over the past year in Glasgow, London, and Zurich. Each portrait reflects my deep passion for street photography and my continuous journey in capturing the essence of people in urban environments. Seeing my work displayed among so many talented photographers was both humbling and inspiring.

My exhibition space

The exhibition was a tremendous success for me. Over the five days, I had the chance to connect with many new people, from fellow photographers to art enthusiasts and potential clients. I received valuable feedback, gained new commissions, and established meaningful relationships that I hope will lead to future collaborations. The exhibition was consistently well-visited, leaving little time for breaks – a sign of its vibrant and engaging atmosphere.

One of the most rewarding aspects was meeting and befriending other photographers. Exchanging ideas and experiences with like-minded individuals was truly enriching. It reinforced my belief in the importance of community within the photography world.

Celta, who guarded my backpack

I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to making this experience so special. A huge thank you to the organizers of photoSCHWEIZ for their excellent planning and execution. The venue at Kongresshaus Zürich provided the perfect setting for such a large-scale photography event.

Special thanks to my curator, Aurélia Marine, for her invaluable support and guidance. I also want to express my appreciation to my friend and mentor, Paul Reid, for his continuous encouragement and advice. A big thank you to printolino for the outstanding quality of my prints, and of course, to all the amazing individuals featured in my street portraits – without you, this project would not have been possible.

With photoSCHWEIZ 25 behind me, I am already looking ahead. In the coming days, I will begin working on new images for next year’s exhibition. This experience has fueled my passion even further, and I am excited to see where this journey takes me next.

Stay tuned for more updates, and thank you to everyone who supported me throughout this event!
